Initial setting of zoom optimized for school classes

1. Join Zoom
Be sure to sign up with the school official's email address
Zoom is originally free to use, but
There are restrictions when using it for school classes, so you need to get upgrade to an educator pro account.
After entering the school information,
After a few minutes, as shown in the picture below, "I've extended it to an unlimited meeting time." Message will appear.
Then membership registration is complete.
2. Install Zoom Program and Mobile Phone Application
Please install the zoom program on your laptop.
Click the link below and click' Zoom Client for Conference' to download and install.

And install the zoom app on your personal phone.
And now, follow the step with me.
1. Log-on in zoom https://zoom.us/(click)
Go to My account(or click profile pic)
Scroll down- Edit host key to your personal key(6 letters) and save
Click Meeting->personal meeting->Edit
Set the Password. All teachers should set Same password in the school
personal ID cannot be changed. so its better for studetns and teachers
to set same passcode.
And follow the same step

If you use the Embed passcode in invite link for one-click join function,
Students can access directly from the link and enter without a password.
and if you use Allow participants to join before host,
your deligent students will attend earlier.
If you want to block unknown participants, use waiting room function.
If you want to prevent personal chatting between students,
Turn off the private chatting.(but I turned on for my custom)
Auto saving chat:
Chat content is automatically saved immediately
at the end of the zoom conference.
(Usually the location is in My PC>Documents>zoom>The date and time folder)
Sound notification when someone join or live
- you can hear and recognize who came in,
and you can instantly recognize who left during class.
In screen sharing,
if you allow only the host to share the sharing permission,
you can prevent students from sharing strange screens.
If you need to share screen when presenting to students,
you can change it in Zoom program.
But i usually turn on because students make many problems
and sometimes need to fix it on their sharscreen.

Non-verbal feedback, Meeting reactions:
Your students can express their opinion by various emoticon
Allow removed participants to rejoin
If you did mistake, With this feature enabled,
students who have accidentally removed
can enter the conference room again.
Allow participants to rename themselves
Hide participant profile pictures in a meeting
If you do this function, you can prevent students
who have a strange picture as a profile,
and it is good to see the student number name right away.

Breakout room: You must turn it on!
Closed caption: If this is also enabled,
it is useful because you can display subtitles at the bottom of the screen
without posting the entire message to be announced in the chat window.
Virtual background: You have to turn it on if your computer support this function.

Show a "Join from your browser" link
With this feature turned on,
students can join meetings directly from anywhere
by simply clicking the invite link
Request permission to unmute:
If you turn on this option, participants will receive pop-up messege when they join in meeting about permission of unmuting by host.
So host can control if your students not answering.
Email Notification
Turn off this function if you don't want so many emails.

Camera tab: Check HD
It will make your face more shiny if you set the HD, Touch up my appearance.
Always display participants names on their video
-Must turn on. so you can know who is this.
Hide non-video participants.
-turn off.
so you can see your students eventhough they turn off their camera.
See myself as the active speeker while speaking.
-It keeps the teacher's face on the screen so you can focus on the teacher.
Maximum participants displayed per screen in Gallery view.
It supported up to i5.
basic is 24.
you can see 49participants at one time if you turn on.
Your sound will be smoother if you use Optimize video quality with de-noise
Follow the checkbox
you can fix you student's problem by using Enable remote control of application.
Side by side mode: if you join as a participants, your sharescreen will be appear in left, and participant's video will be appear in right section.
It will be bit helpful if you set Silence syestem notification when you sharing desktop.
Click Advanced
Limit your screenshare 15 frames per second
It would be smoother video playing
*How to minimize and smoothly play back shared videos
-Join to zoom with computer
->screenshare
->maximize Frame-per-second
->screenshare
->check the checkbox share computersound, optimize video clip
but all the videos shared by Zoom itself are somewhat cut off.
the best way is Instructing the students
to take the link and go in directly, watch the video for a few minutes,
and come back with zoom

New meeting
-> click arrow
-> check Use My personal Meeting ID(PMI)
->Check 3 things in Advanced Options(Very useful)
